Malvi-Tech completed feasibility study to produce lithium hydroxide from lithium carbonate for a major potential lithium producer in May 2015. The study is based on Malvi-Tech’s proprietary electrochemical process.
MalviTech has developed a cost model of its proprietary electrochemical process to produce Lithium Hydroxide from Lithium salts such as Lithium Carbonate, Lithium Sulfate, and Lithium Chloride. The model is user friendly and could be used to determine the economics of the conversion process for different feed rates, raw material prices, product prices etc, thereby guiding the user to the most attractive plant size based on economics. Malvi-Tech recently applied for a non-provisional patent application of its novel process” Sodium Hypochlorite Production From Reverse Osmosis Brine Solution”. The process has the following attractive features not offered by the existing hypochlorite manufacturing processes : scale-free and waste-free operation, can produce hypochlorite for both Drinking and Non-drinking applications, produces bromate/chlorate/ perchlorate -free hypochlorite, can produce “Commercial-Grade” hypochlorite and more.
Malvi-Tech applied for a “Provisional Patent Application” for its novel Chemical Process to produce lithium hydroxide from lithium salts in August 2016. Process is inordinately cheaper than the electrochemical process in both capital and operating costs, relatively simpler and friendlier to operate and maintain as well.
Malvi-Tech has developed a cost model of the said process. The model is user friendly and can be used to develop capital and operating costs estimates, material and energy balances, equipment sizes and specifications and economic analysis for varying production rates scenarios.
Malvi-Tech applied for a “Provisional Patent Application” for its unique process to produce ammonium perchlorate from sodium perchlorate in September 2016. The process produces high quality sodium hydroxide solution as a by-product, off-setting cost of chemicals used by the process. Unlike the conventional process, the Malvi-Tech process does not use Salt Evaporator, an expensive equipment, substantially reducing capital cost of the process.
